Killian Students Show They Have Character

Students in the 6th grade at Killian voted to wear blue shirts to demonstrate their support and understanding of the Character Counts pillar of Trustworthiness. Students have been learning about the six different pillars that are part of the Michael Josephson Institute which developed the Character Counts program.

The reason blue is associated with the pillar of trustworthiness relates to the saying "true blue" which helps students to remember the pillar and the traits associated with it, such as being honest, reliable, a good friend, and having the courage to do what's right even when it is difficult.

These students are on the path to developing great character. They understand that character counts everywhere, all the time.
