Community Based English Tutoring (CBET)

These classes provide free or subsidized programs of adult language instruction in English as a Second Language and Tutoring Skills to parents or other members of the community who pledge to provide personal English language tutoring to California school-age children with limited English proficiency.

Opportunities for adults to join the CBET program will be made available to parents at various elementary this school year.

Look for more information about the program at your local elementary school.

More than 6,500 adults have done more than 150,000 hours of tutoring to teach English to children since 2001.
