Memoir
My children are truly fortunate to be part of the Killian Family. This is my first year on the School Site Council, (as Chairperson this 2009-2010 year), and without any bias or lack of objectivity I have to say this is a great school!
I have had my kids in the Rowland Unified School District since they were in Kindergarten and Killian is by far the best of the best. The staff strive daily to help these children reach their potential as well as pushing themselves to achieve great goals for their students as well as deserved accolades from the United States Department of Education as well as from California.
With a widely diverse staff, student body and community this is a school dedicated not only to a great education at the Elementary level, but also in teaching skills that will help the students later in life. I am proud to be part of this community and many other parents are as well-and rightly so.
It is my honor to serve as Site Council Chairperson, but it is a greater honor still to be a member of a family that infuses fantastic ideals and knowledge to my kids and all the others who attend Killian. My hat's off to Mr. Jason Gass and the rest of the brilliant staff for making Killian a school worth sending your children to.
